About

Big PictureAxford Turbine Consultants, LLC, was formed in 2001 during
the “Enron Surge” of orders for gas turbine generators.
The gas turbine business was booming but it was clear
that the bubble would soon burst.  Customers had
purchased too many gas turbine generators.  So, Mark
Axford quit his job as Vice President of Sales for General Electric Aero Energy
to form an independent consultancy to help clients
who owned turbines surplus to their needs and wanted
to sell them.

Since 2001, Axford has been directly engaged in
transactions for more than $740 million in turbomachinery
and other power plant equipment.  Customers include
investor owned utilities, independent power producers,
municipal utilities and OEMs.  Today, Axford offers a variety
of services to customers including selling, sourcing,
appraisal/valuation, forecasting, and market analysis.
